Frank Lacey was a session speaker at the Beyond the Meter Working Group Annual Meeting held in Tyson’s Corner, VA. His presentation was titled “Beyond the Meter; Utilities Working for Customers and Working for Competitors”. In this presentation, Frank informed the group about the ramifications of FERC Order No. 2222 and how this and other wholesale market orders from FERC could potentially disrupt the market for good and services that utilities are offering to their customers. The Beyond the Meter Working Group brings together personnel from more than 40 leading utilities and service vendors to facilitate peer-to-peer networking and collaborative research directed at advancing the energy management services market. The group is hosted by ESource and is seeking to develop customer support models for renewable energy, EVs, smart homes and other energy management functions.
